Why We Support NAMI (and Why It Matters)

Why We Support NAMI (and Why It Matters)

At Sunday Night, baking has always been about more than what’s in the jar.

It's true, we’re known for our award-winning chocolate sauces and (now!) our buttery, velvety caramel sauce.  But what really drives us is what those jars represent: intention, presence, comfort, and love.

Whether you're baking a cake from scratch or drizzling warm sauce over ice cream after a long day, it’s an act of care. For others, or for yourself.

This May, during Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re proud to continue supporting the work of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness. NAMI’s work in destigmatizing mental health, advocating for accessible care, and creating safe spaces for real conversations is more important than ever.

For our founder Eileen Gannon, this is deeply personal.  As a baker, mom, and entrepreneur, she understands the pressures of showing up every day and the power of food to create connection when words fall short. Like so many, Eileen has walked alongside loved ones navigating mental illness, and she believes in showing up with empathy and honesty.

No chocolate sauce can fix everything. But a shared sundae? A moment of connection? That can matter.

Whether you're gathering around the table or just taking five quiet minutes with a spoon and a jar—we see you. And we’re glad you're here.
